To apply for membership of U3A in Kennet, please complete the on-line form below or download the PDF version here: U3A Membership Application Form

The PDF form can be printed out, completed in pen and returned or can be filled in electronically (make sure you are using Adobe Acrobat on your PC, Tablet or other device) and returned by email as an attachment.

Please note that if you want a copy of the completed application, you can print it using the printer icon at the bottom of the page. You will need to do this before clicking the form ‘submit’ button.

The membership year is from 1st August to 31st July.  There is a Joining Fee of £3.  Annual Membership is £12 per person.  A reduced Membership fee of £6 applies for those joining after 1st May until the end of the membership year.  These fees include a payment to our National Organisation, the Third Age Trust, which provides a wide range of services and benefits, including liability insurance cover for our Groups.

To pay on-line, please make payment of £15 per person (or £9 per person after 1st May) to the following account:

U3A provides a learning environment to people in the Third Age NOT in full time emloyment, enabling the sharing of interests and experiences.

All members must:

  • Abide by the Principles of the U3A movement
  • Always act in the best interests of the U3A and never do anything to bring the U3A into disrepute
  • Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution
  • Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times
  • Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee
  • Advise the committee of any change in your personal details

Your personal details will be held on a secure database and will be used solely for the purposes of administration and the distribution of U3A communications. They will never be supplied to an outside agency or party other than for you to receive Third Age Matters, U3A Kennet Magazine and other similar U3A publications by direct mail.
