Special General Meeting (SGM) approves changes to Constitution

The Special General Meeting held on 26 April 2017 to approve the Revised Constitution just failed to achieve the required quorum of 91 members (15% 0f 608 members) and thus the meeting was adjourned by the Chairman. As provided in the existing constitution the Executive Committee decided to hold the adjourned meeting on Wednesday 28 June 2017 in Kennet Valley Hall at 2:15pm ahead of the Tea and Talk presentation from the National Trust.

That meeting approved the various changes to the U3A in Kennet Constitution.  These changes now have to be approved by the Charities Commission and the U3A Trust.
