The most recent Theatre Group trip was on 17th March to see The Rivals at the Watermill Theatre.
Our next two visits will take place in June and September.
Love on the Links – Salisbury Playhouse – Saturday 16 June – 2.15pm
Taken from PG Wodehouse’s Golf Stories the play is set in the rarefied surroundings of Wood Hills Golf Club in deepest Surrey. The Oldest Member is having a snooze in the corner while the barman is pouring another White Horse and Malvern at the ‘19th hole’. It’s soon time, however, for The OM to stir in his armchair and regale us with stories of seduction, canoodling and thwarted love, with the help of some biffo club members, not to mention the ever graceful Daphne Cartwright and the dashing Jack Ramage. This Salisbury Playhouse production promises to be a “topping matinee” of high-jinks and hilarity. Plus-fours optional!
Tickets: £24.50 includes coach travel from Pewsey (depart 10am) and Marlborough (depart 10.20am). Please complete the attached form by 17th April.
The Height of the Storm – Theatre Royal, Bath – Saturday 22 September – 2.15pm
Starring Eileen Atkins and Jonathan Pryce this production will be transferring to the West End. Our visit provides a wonderful opportunity to see two of the greatest British actors of their generation appear on stage together for the very first time. This UK premiere production is a searing exploration of love, compassion and the fragility of life. “Highly sensitive….. Florian Zeller reminds us that life is beautiful.”
A beautifully compelling family drama by Florian Zeller, who has been described by the Guardian as “the most exciting playwright of our time”, and whose Olivier award-winning play The Father, opened in Bath before becoming one of the outstanding West End and Broadway hits of recent years.
Tickets: £45 include coach travel from Pewsey (depart 9.15am) and Marlborough (depart 9.35am). Arrival in Bath will allow ample time for shopping and lunch before the play begins. Please complete the attached form by 27th April.

For those who have not been before, here is what happens. We go to a matinee , leaving Marlborough (or Pewsey) in the morning and the time before the theatre can be spent looking at shops, having coffee and/or lunch before going to the play and home on the coach afterwards.
